Yeah, see, the "express fee" excuse only kind of works when...... YOU ACTUALLY MAKE SURE YOU'RE DOING SOMETHING. DON'T TELL ME IT WILL TAKE YOU 6-24 HOURS TO PRINT SOMETHING WHEN YOU'RE DOING FUCK-ALL. HNNNGGGG.
ANYWAYS, I am pretty much done putting up my online website and portfolio and stuff. http://kitaangel.net/ I will make changes to it gradually, but nothing huge. I'll add a link and stuff to that here later on as well.
Also started setting up a place where I will start selling prints and posters again, and maybe my original art as well. It's a thought, and a work in progress. I have a lot of drawings that do need new homes...
that's never made any sense to me. Why would it cost more to do it yourself? Shouldn't it cost more to get the employees to do it so they can get some form of a tip?
i have three printers and a copy machine so that i do not have to go somewhere and pay for it.
@Mikko: I ran out of toner in my high yield printer, and I kind of don't have the money to buy new toner right now.... uuuughhhhh I wish I didn't have to go to the printers....
@coacoa: That's the part that REALLY confuses me too! They don't get tips there anyways, just whatever pay they get, but you would think because we bothered someone to print something, it would cost more than if we didn't bother someone... RIGHT?!
yeah, that's crazy weird...at my store (i work in large format printing at an art store) it costs more to have the employees do it for you, 'cause you factor labor into the price. and rush/express fees are legitimate, but not if the employee's standing around doing nothing!
@kribbit: Yeah, I thought it was crazy weird too! The other printing place I usually go to sounds a lot like where you work. They charge more for doing work, they tell me nicely if they can do it right away or not (depending on what orders they have to do that day/week) and if they have nothing to do, they won't charge an express fee because my job is the only thing they have! :)
I don't mind paying the express fee, assuming they have other things that need to get done first!
